Wackmasta..... listen carefully! This whole thing can be forgotten.....just let it rest! I' m sure we' ll all get to like you, we just aren' t used to this type of thing. I think you may be mistaken about the best way to kill a deer. I always FOCUS on the first shot, and then if I could shoot it again I would. But I never have had to shoot again
If you shoot your first shot already planning a second shot you will probably not hit very well. Try blackpowder hunting! That will teach you the power of a deadly first shot! Another plus of a one shot kill is it saves meat! A LOT of good meat is waisted when a shot rips through.
Just think about what I said............ I bet if you really sight in your gun well and focus on the first shot, then the deer will be dead before you even get a second shot! Then look at your buddies and say " thats how its done boys!"

I' m sorry if I misunderstood you, however it sounds like you do not have a lot of respect for a deer. When you see a deer do you think o I want to try and get a bullet in that deer no matter where it is brush, running etc. or do you wait for a clear ethical shot? The reason I ask is because you have not been a member here long and have already posted about wounding three deer! Now everybody makes mistakes but three deer in that short of a time period means someones not taking there time, not waiting for ethical shots, or some other issue. I mean usually people feel bad for wounding a deer and then you talk about hitting one in the leg and then you said " My daid then sent it to hell" . What kind of image do you think this projects us hunters as?

what do you mean---hold on...one shot one kill whats the fun in that?--- i must`ve misread that cuz i thought you were sayin that you dont like one shot kills?!?!?!?! and yes i still do believe that you need a lesson from ethics 101, friend. as far the hill shot if you were 1000000000000000000000% sure no one was on the hill then i have no problem with that.

i was just kiddin bout " my dad sent it straight to hell" ...i just meant that he killed it after i put a ****ty shot on it.
And i wounded two and one got away and the only reason i shot while it was running was because that i couldn' t stop it at a grunt. Shooting deer at the run is fun but i dont prefer it over a nice broadside shot while its standing. I' d take that broadside shot over the running shot anyday.
An ethical shot is what i woulda wanted with that deer but it just wasnt happenin.
