Like doublelung said, Hoyt and Mathews are the 2 best bows IMO, but they can get a little pricey......go to a proshop and shoot bows within your price range, and pick the one that feels best in your hands. Get a smooth shooting bow with a moderate axle to axle, and a long brace height, which will make it easier and more forgiving to shoot. BTW, I shoot a Mathews.

Boe hunting is not for everyone.... I have gotten lots of people in my area into bow hunting... The thing that I tell all of them is " do not spend lots of money on the 1st. bow" ... buy 1 of those package jobs and see how you like it 1st... then in the next season you can sell that 1 and then buy a better 1... you can { in most cases } get as much for the package 1 as what you spent for it the year before... All the people that have not taken up the sport are not out lots of money.... Just a piece of advice.... GOOD HUNTING... and MOST of all HAVE FUN.......[:-][:-][:-]
