I would pick whatever was cheapest and got better miles per gallon.

I personally wouldn't mind having diesel engine truck though :D

If your going to be pulling a heavy load such as a stock trailer, then a diesel is the clear-cut winner.
i have own both and my 2001 2500hd (8.1l gas)pulls much better then the 2003 2500hd (duramx)i had before not only that it will run circles around it the only bad thing id it get 12mpg loaded or empty
Did you put the bullydog chip in it?

Evan, so since one Ford CAR that your family has had, you're gonna call them junk? Let's be fair here. I also think it's funny that a lot of you probably don't have (or ever have even driven for that matter) a truck, that you are saying is the best here. It's kind of like whena politics thread comes up here, people get their panties in a wad, and yet most of the people arguing can't even vote. Come on:eek:
LOL

You just make yourself look like an idiot day by day...... So the fact that you either missed my last post or all around ignored it, makes me a liar?

Refer back to post #70 on page 7....... then you can apologize to me on your next post.;)

RE: Diesel vs. Gas.... what's your opinon?

Got my poof pen and warning list ready just in case.

Talking about different trucks and such. I used to have 1986 Ford Ranger (little 4 banger), good O 4x4 drive standard (although my car is auto, I'd much rather have standard) Although it had many many miles on it, it lasted me for long time before problems started. It got to the point where I was running out of money for repairs so I left my cousin use it as experiment project. He had friend that was into Baja racing, as well as my cousin being he was one of the mechanics. Well they did some major work on my truck; V8 engine, tranny, standard, frame work, so on so forth. Threw in 4 inch lift on there. I was actually impressed little simple old ford ranger could handle that kind of facelift on it but they did great job. Eventually after while though, it started to have problems after couple more years so I end up having to sell it. I miss that truck. Someday I'm going to trade in my car and get me another truck again though :)
