I voted democrat, and I got a lot of heat for it.

Don't feel bad.... I'm a strong and proud Obama supporter.
I can see you two are not fans of keeping our ammo!

Obama isnt going to get rid of ammo, just raise the hell out of the taxes on ammounition. We will always have guns, but wont be able to afford to shoot them like we would like. I couldnt vote, but voiced my opinion anytime I could. I dont like socialism, and that is what Obama is planning to install upon us, without calling it socialism. I cant stand spreading the wealth to someone who wont work for it. Obama's beliefs did not win this election, the media did it for him. Although I do not like him, I hope he is the best president in the history of the US, but have a feeling that he will come out worse than GWB. As for 2012, I can only hope someone like Mike Huckabee will run, as they will have my vote.

This “socialism” problem that you seem to be so espoused by is quite interesting……… I guess you and I have a different value set…. Listen the middle and lower class are struggling, these people that don’t pay taxes right, are people who can’t pay taxes… they can’t afford the Bush era… Bob and his three kids, are living under a freeway pass right now, because they can’t afford anything…. Both the Bush admin. And the families fault…. And you don’t support helping them? Hmmmm….. But let me get to the point here:
For the past 8 years Americans have allowed the republican party to reintroduce “ fascism” to the new world…. Yes FASCISM>>>>> something the Republicans seem to like…. How did they put it to practice? The answer is “class warfare”….. The Bush tax cuts were a complete failure, benefiting the extremely wealthy while giving virtually nothing to the middle and lower class ( the middle class is the work force of this country ), it’s a sad reality…..
Socialism is far more benefiting to any class in our country then the Republican ideals will ever be….. It actually helps people… I predict that President Obama will go down as one of the greatest US presidents in history, in his first two weeks in office, he has managed to pass several EO’s that have benefited people already… while the Stimulus bill is still trying to meet the needs of the Republicans.

I agree, Bush did not do everything right, and was not a great president. Tax cuts didnt works, but military was strong. I have experienced my best economical year under Bush and the worst. Socialism, is the littel brother to communism, treat everyone equally, tax equally, which Obama has done. The upper class should be taxed more, while middle class should be taxed less. However, I am not for giving breaks to the people that have run themselves into the ground, that dont have a work ethic, their kids deserve the breaks, but not them. The middle/lower class is full of diverse people, some of which work their tail off and cant catch a break, and others that are content living off of the rest of us. I do not want to pay for those people. Actually right now, it is tough to help anyone but yourself. Socialism is not the answer and neither is fascism, we need a mixture, and guess what that is......a Democratic Republic, what we are (supposedly). Geroge Washington warned us against political parties, and we did not listen. Funny how he was right, even all those years ago. Political parties are a pitfall of our country and should be eliminated. That being said,I will stay on the conservative side of things until a dem catches my eye. They havecreated the separation in thecountry right now. I am not disagreeing with you at all, but I dont think that suck a swing will do the country goodeither, in fact it may be just enough to puch us over the edge. Obama deserves a chance though.

And fascism is the big brother of communism…. Favored by the Nazi’s, don’t forget. Now, people have ran themselves into the ground because the gov. allowed them to….. The Conservative party seems to favor the forever failing policy of “deregulation”….. when the gov. give absolutely no oversight of these major companies who unfortunately screwed the American public, and now which we are now bailing out.

Now with regards to your “George Washington” comment…. Although it seems as if it is a good idea… things are much different now, then they were in 1789, and our American ideals are forever changing….his political views simply would not work in today’s world. Also, you say that the dems. Have created separation in gov. today… how is that? I’d also like to point out that it was in fact a democrat who balanced a budget surplus… Bill Clinton…. But that’s for another argument.

Good luck....

Zach

I didnt mean it to sounds as if the Dems have separated the country, both parties have. You cant compare the bush regime to the Nazi's, that would be extreme, the Nazi's tried to exterminate a race, the Republicans favor less government. I just cant see that comparison. The gov. shouldnt have to babysit people, just help when they speak out against somethieng. Neither side did that over the summer with gas prices.

BTW, I would love to have Clinton back in Office, not much to argue about there
Thanks for the debate, I love doing stuff like this,

It's a great thing that we can respect our views and ideals that we differ from. You're welcome for the debate... anytime bro.

In my opinion, the only good president would, of course, be me.

There are lots of corrupt people out there that need to be removed. Not just politicians. The CEO's of these banks get a way with a ton of junk that shouldn't be happening.

And our government just puts money on it to make it better? Their banks need to fail and things need to be restructured. It's gonna get worse before it gets better. It's too late to correct it's self now.
