Horrible. I saw two small does running at full speed 400 yards away, and that was the only thing I saw. If I don't see or shoot any deer in the 2009 hunts, I'm quiting hunting for good.

Mine was great. I shot my best buck yet, a 115" 10. I also got my first bowkill, a mature doe.
Here's the stories, just click the link

EDIT: Forgot to mention i had my best season yet. Killed a doe in Sept and killed my first buck with a bow, a 123" 10pt. Also killed a HUGE doe with the smoke pole.

Please tell me your joking. If you quit just because you dont see deer your taking it WAY to serious. Also thats a pathetic reason to quit in my opinion, maybe scout a little more and hunt smarter and you would see more deer. Hunting is just more than justkilling deer

I would quit because I'm sick of giving my money to the Wisconsin DNR to help pay for their projects that destroy deer populations. I'm sick of going out and looking at trees all day, even though the spots I hunt at have been proven every year. You guys have all shot a deer, I haven't.

Hunting time is severely limited. I can only do so in our state's youth hunting weekend and regular gun deer, and I can only do that 3 days at most. My dad's friend has been hunting up there for years and put us on spots that have produced deer every year. Another problem is that Wisconsin deer like to hole up in thick forests, and carrying that double seater 16 foot ladder stand isn't easy even in the best of terrains, so I can't get to those areas.
