Recoil?!?!?!? Try shooting my Tikka T3 Lite Stainless in 300 WSM i use for most of my rifle hunting then tell me about recoil. Shotguns are nothing even with 3.5" turkey loads.
My choice is for Mossberg! I love my 835's.

my favorite brand in any firearm is remington. they ain5t pabst blue ribbon but they aint champaign either. just all around dependabl;e good shooters.

I have a mossberg 500, a remington 870, a New England Firearms single shot and and Mossberg 695(bolt action slug gun) all in 12 ga.
Then I have a Revelation .410, a Sears and Roebuck 16ga.
Of all those I like the mossberg 500. but they are all pretty decent.
