Ah yes, the Huey was indeed a lot of fun to fly in until people started poking holes in it from below. LOL I did like fly in them most of the time. I usuallly got one for over flights of an area before we worked it. Sometimes they'd throw me as a gunner on a OH6 Cayuse with a pink team. That was hairy but it got me a better view of the terrain as we usually flew at tree top trying to stir something up. Mega hours in Hueys and too many in OH6's.[&:]

Thats awesome! I'm not a big fan of the F-22 though. Its too steathly than it needs to be, and too fast than it needs to be. The P-51 is the best though. It's the fighter than won WWII.
Theres no such thing as to stealthy or to fast when your talking about a fighter jet thats expected to get Air Dominance of the skys. The F-22 is capable of supercruise and as America's next main fighter jet, it needs it. Other countries have caught up to the F-15. The F-22 combines speed (top speed in the Mach 2 range) with superior manuverablility with the thrust vecotring nozzles. I don't think the it's too fast argument is a very good argument imo. The F-15 to go supersonic needs afterburner which guzzles a ton more gas than the F-22 will ned at mach 1.2 And to say it's "Too Stealthy" isn't a good argument. You talk to ANY pilot in the world and ask if thers such a thing as too stealthy when they are sitting in the cockpit, they will laugh at you. JMO

A few years ago there were 2 B17 and a B29 that flew around here. And landed at a little local air port, for 8 bucks you could look around in side. That was great.

The C-17 is an awesome plane, only heavy aircraft that the Air Force owns that has a stick instead of the yoke.

Lol very true but ever since i've seen the C-17 fly, i've wanted to fly it. Thing maneuvers like a fighter, it's nuts.
