Well, I really don't know. I dont my my assault rifles and their legalness, but I know that AK's are illegal, and from what some people said, they shot them.

AKs aren't illegal at all. I've actually been looking to add one to the collection just because they're cheap and the ammo is cheap. The only thing you need is if you want to turn it full auto, you just have to register through the BATF and you're all set. Or you know... there's always bump firing

you and your bump firing... lol ak or any assault rifle is not illegal in the United States. There are some exceptions, Commfornia and a few major cities. You can buy any assault rifle so long as its semi-automatic and keep it locked up in a hard case when its not in use.
the only ak-47s that are now illegal are the ones that are completely constructed overseas. The BATF decided that a certain percentage of the parts in the AK-47 must now be made in the USA.
theyre all legal to own... for now anyway.

My local gun shop has 3 AR-15, 1 AR-10 in 300 SAUM, 2 AK-47. The other gun shop around Here has alot of semi auto and full assault rifle. They are one of the few Class III FFL i have ever herd of. They had about 6 HK MP5, 3 Full Auto Ak-47, 2 old style full auto M-16, and a bunch of AR-15 and other semi auto weapons. They even had an old style M-16 turned into a full auto pistol last fall.

Thats where we go
