I don't pay much attention to politics even if its something i really care about. Most are just broken promises anyway

i dont usually keep up on polotics because most of them arnt trustworthy. I do however get all my political information from the Stephen Colbert Report!!

Usually I don't either, but the topic he addressed (Illegal Immigration) has been getting on my nerves lately.

I have some strong political feelings, and y'all pretty much asked for it. I have nothing against Mexicans or Spanish people but if they are illegal, they need to get the hell out of our country. Since all this immigration crap has been stirred up, the radios play sap stories about guys named 'Francisco' who try to get through our borders illegally. I am pretty much sick of it all. And don't get me started on other issues. I could go forever. but I'm sure nobody really wants to hear about that.

I wouldn't say that the Feds are putting their foot down when it comes to illegal immigration. Bush is taking abig business approach and supporting a guest worker program. Essentially, if illegal immigrants pay a fine, take some tests and enteronto a waiting list, then they will be granted citizenship.Republicans in the Senate seem to agree with Bush. Republicans in the House of Representatives disagree and want to criminalize illegal immigration, in other words, illegal immigrants could be deportedor subject to criminal penalties. This is still America where ahealthy skepticism is good.
Apathy lets the bad guys win. Still the best gov't system I've seen.
