a nice hammer would do the trick. if i absolutely had to defend myself, it would have to be a hammer.

to be honest, i feel fairly safe, which is why i won't leave a loaded gun around. and the only problem with the knife would be if i got that close to someone then stabbed them, i would probably throw up to death out of disqust. cause that is just grousome.

Ruger P85 9mm with Hornady XTP's or Federal Hydra-Shok's. No FMJ's because they'd go through the person and possible through a wall. if i really couldnt make it to the gun safe, i have a 9 Iron under my bed.

you think a knife is more gruesome than a hammer???? a clean blow to the neck or chest and its over... hammer you gotta hit 'em again and again and again and again.... gets kinda messa wouldn't ya think???



as for stabbing myself with the knife, its in a nice leather sheath for just that purpose lol

my first weapon of choice is a remington 7400 .308. second choice is double barrel 12 ga with 00 buck.

well, all my guns (12g, 410g, .22,.22, 30-06 and 30-30) are all downstairs in a back room in a gun safe. the key is upstairs in the kitchen. so....i guess if i could make it to the kitchen i'd grab a knife. if i had time i'd get the first gun i could. otherwise, its down to a fist/heavy object fight.:D

Well, whichever sword/knife/club/spear/nunchaku is closest, lol. Being in the martial arts for 16 years, you can imagine what my house looks like. Everywhere you turn, you see nice steel and wood. I pity the guy who wanders in. Nobody likes losing appendages, lol.

When burglars were surveyed in prison they almost all said that a small yappy dog was their second worst fear if they knew that the homeowner was present . Their worst fear was a shotgun of any guage . At 5 yards , about the max shooting distance in most homes , a .410 shotgun will do the job more effectively than any pistol or rifle .

my dog is very large.... but its the cat they'd have to fear

she doesn't like new people... she climbs their body and attacks their neck.... loves my family to death though.... after a few initial loud and intimidating barks, the dog will just lick you to death

lol that's funny.

He or they haven't hit the house yet but lately there as been some break in attempts in my section of town. I did noticed the other day that there were some marks on my car that suggested that someone might have been trying to break in. Last summer the people living next door to us, had an entire mini trailer stolen out of their driveway. They were on vacation (think they went to Europe or somewhere) so whoever did it was eyeing that place for awhile

I dont have any weapons in my bedroom, except for my Magnus Stingers.I doubt I could do much with a broadhead. As you may already know, I don't need to play with my broadheads anymore. :DSo, if someone comes in my window, Im just gonna lay their and cry like a little school girl.

Smith & Wesson 500 magnum, 3 inch barrel. Leaves a nice entrance wound but the exit is even better.
