Default what did I do ?

I had my soil test done - all looked good - added some fertilizer - planted ladino and red clover - not much germinated - Cant figure it out - This area used to be praire grass ground so I know things will grow - Planting about 1/2 acre - planted 3 pounds red and 3 pounds ladino - wierd - Had some cooler weather here in KS the last few weeks - but nothing that should effect it like this - Any ideas? I have some germinating but stull can see seeds on top

is there a "packaged for 200x" on the label? perhaps the seeds were for last year or the year before? germination percentages decrease as seeds get older.

I found clover to take forever to come up. I could see a little color in my plot but it wasn't until 6-8 weeks that I actually had clover coming up. I'm sure you probably know that clover will establish a root system before it start to come up with any density. Give it a bit longer and hopefully the rain and sun will do their thing.

That' why I prefer the branded products like whitetail clover. They are much more consistent than what i get at the feed store. I have had some success with certified seeds from the feed store but have had problems several times too. I have a friend who buys alot of seeds from his feed store and he had 100 pounds of certified ladino that produced nothing but turnips last year. He says he will lean toward the branded products more to from now on.
