90-Day vs. 110-Day Corn
I am going to plant about 5-acres in corn this year. I was wondering if there is an advantage to going with a variety that matures faster, or are there pros and cons to using both?

If you are not planning on harvesting the corn - it does not matter as much what the Days are. Still - you want the corn mature before it dries - so the farther north you are - the lower the day count.
85 day corn is about right for me (zone 3-4) when planted June 1st.

I would prefer the longer season corn, it will stand up in the field longer Dekalb has a variety 57-84, it is a good yeilding variet and has 107 day growing season, Just add 50 to the first 2 numbers to get length of season....... Apparently you are not going to harvest it , so you want it to stand over the fall and early winter in wind and snow... This is your boy for all that...
