Default FOOD PLOTS

Was wondering if anyone had a good idea of what I could plant to hide my food plots and property from the view of the road. I have planted trees and shrubs to take care of this problem in the future, but need something till they get tall enough. I planted Sudan in 100 foot strips last year surrounding my 160 acres, but am looking for something thats maybe a little better for the wildlife nutrition plus hiding the deer from road hunters.

Don't know where you are, but plain old red cedar should provide what you need. Welcome to the board.

Welcome and hello,
Plant sorghum and/or millet. The tall variety of sorghhum should produce cover and food. It works great around the game farm.

I like corn for screening. Its fairly easy, and inexpensive as a screen. I woould plant it at least 8-10 rows deep to be effective.
