Default What a waste! Pig cull in Big Sur

I wonder how much it cost the state? I wonder how much less it would've cost to let hunters in to take out 9 pigs, and take the meat?

Wild pigs roaming Andrew Molera State Park in Big Sur are being trapped and killed in an effort to roll back the environmental damage they cause, according to state park rangers and game wardens.

It really dose seem like a waste. They could have had a lottery and probably made money while getting rid of the pigs. Sometimes I just don't understand the thinking behind policies like this[:'(]
