RE: Inexpensive ATV plow
We purchased a two section spring tooth drag for $30.00 at a farm auction. We cut the two sections apart with a sawzall, (basically old rusty bolts.) We rigged each section with a trailer tounge and now have two plows. We pull it with an ATV however, a chain could be used if you didn't want to attach the tounge. We have relatively sandy soil and it takes a few passes but works great. The teeth adjust with ease for soil depth. I would highly suggest you check into that before spending $600.00 on something that would work about the same.
I am certainly one that is willing to pay for what works the best. However I was proved wrong by my buddies when they came up with this method that has worked for years now. Our next step will be a tractor with implements, but until then, this will work as good as the tractor...it just takles longer.
Good luck!!!!!

If you have the use of a welder a way to get tube steel swing in your local farm store and pick up some cultivator tines and tips (5 work well for me) and some cheep wheels. Than go on internet get some ideas and weld up a cultivator. Took me about 3 hours 75$ later and Ive been using for 2 years

Take a look at the King Kutter ATV disc. I bought one this year and after adding 4-6 concrete blocks to it for weight, I am really impressed with it. I bought it at Blain's Farm & Fleet for $400 but the price now is $470 after the steel price increase. Here is a link to a story with the company's ph#:
