Default Mineral supplements?

Does anyone use minerals to help their deer herd such as calcium and phosphorus? With any success?

I use both the mineral blocks (the red ones) and loose minerals. I prefer the loose minerals and I think the deer do also.

Just got done adding 50# of mineral salt to my 40 yr. old lick. I usually do this each spring prior to greenup. They usually hit the lick quite hard in the spring and then taper off as plants get older and tougher.

Yes, on the fields, to be taken up by clovers and alfalfa, then consumed by deer.

Timbercruiser, can you tell me a little about your mineral program? What product or mineral do you suggest?

There is a difference in minerals, you stated in another post. Would you share a little on your thoughts and some about your mineral program. I have been experimenting a little with mineral supplementation and would be interesed in what you are doing and your thoughts.
