Coyotes: Hunt, Trap or let be
#31
I hunt them hard, when the seasons close on all other critters I will be hunting coyotes. they really have a large range about 25 sq miles or so. I have found that they didn't care for the hunting pressure in my little bit of the world and will leave the area. As soon as I hear the pack of a evening sing off I will be after them in my neck of the woods.

Yes it is true - everything you said that you should kill them whenever you see them but they also increase their reproduction rate the fewer coyotes that there are. So no need to feel guilty about killing them.
They kill deer just as likely as a rabbit. Up here in Northern IL, they are everywhere and they are not shy. I have friends in Palatine, IL and you can't find a rabbit in their neighborhood, but I live inside Chicago city limits and there are rabbits everywhere (30 to a city block).
I have seen whitetail once in a while, but Palatine is so far out of the city its almost rural and not a lot of deer even though there are forest preserves (restricted hunting) all over. The coyotes are out of control.
