Electric vrs Deer Proof Fencing?
Two small cool season food plots in Central NC, 300 ft roll of deer fence should do one.
I saw a show that explained staggering electric solar powered fence (wire) at three different heights and staggered away from each other two to three feet so the deer's depth perception would trick it into not jumping.
Seemed to work for this person on this test he did.
Cant decide which is more effective, and better on wallett: Deer Proof Fence or Solar Powered Electric?
First time doing this, they mow anything down so fast around here, trying to save some food for small group of teens hunting the first time.
Thanks for the help everyone....

Solar power electric fences are garbage!!! I had a gallagher and it had to go back to warranty 3 times in one year.. I finally asked for a refund.
They are also not very strong and won't absolutely stop a deer..
I have a 100 mile electric fence (110 volt model @ 15 joules) hooked up to a 100 yard garden (7 feet tall) and NEVER have a deer issue.. Once stung, they will not come back.

I have no first hand experience with this but have heard that it really works.
