Forgot to mention Jeff,my plots were never worked either,as a matter of fact it' s old strippings.You will be surprised,the seed only needs small divits to go into then with some luck rain does the rest.It worked for me.

Rich, thanks for the info!!! We only have this weekend to get these plots planted in OH. because MD. starts next monday
and i was very worried we were not going to have enough time, but now I will be able to relax and enjoy myself because I wount have worry about running out of time. Thanks again!! heck we might get all done on sat. and be able to spend sun. trying to locate my old friend double split tine, he should go 190 this year.

Nope,didn' t drag Jeff just disced and then spread seed with a $12 hand crank.Most of these mixes the seeds are so small they have no problem getting in the soil and sprouting.You should be able to disc the area on Saturday easily.
Hey you work with the equiptment you have right.It worked for me.
