Default Plot Saver-update

Here' s an informational update on the Food Plot Saver Kit. 20 days ago my food plot had started growing it was 3-6" tall. Some may recall only being a lone 1acre plot I was afraid it' d get devoured by deer. Someone here gave me the info on Plot Saver. Its a banding type ribbon you attach to stakes around your plot, then spray the ribbon with a deer hindrance spray. Well I rechecked it this weekend, and my plot is now 8-12" tall, and I couldn' t find a single deer tack any place on the food plot edge. I did find a single turkey dusting spot though. I resprayed the ribbon again. Suppose to be good for 30days, but this was my only wknd this month I could swing down to my land. So far I impressed with it, seems to be working fine. I also sprayed the deer hindrance stuff on the fencing around my apple trees, they are good too. I' ll repost in August.

It sounds good. Did you have to encircle the entire plot and what was the cost to do the acre?

Sorry knew I should have included that. www.Plotsaver.com yes I completely surrounded my 1 acre plot. The 1 acre kit is $54.99, and if you mention the huntingnet or Deer & deerhunting mag the shipping is free. I simply purchased my own fence posts, and cut a bunch more dead hardwood branches for stakes. The kit came with plently of ribbon to cover the 1 acre, I got some left over yet.

My neighbor had trouble with the resident geese on the lake using his dock & waterfront as a toilet - so he strung up an orange ribbon 3" abouve the ground - and the geese have not crossed it. The concept is similar.

Anyone know if this will deter cows? The deer mow down my plots and this sounds like it will keep them out, but will the cows knock over the plot saver??

How about bears? Seems to me they might even be attracted to the scent out of curiosity. Then they' ll knock it down and it won' t be effective. Also, I am curious as to why deer don' t just jump over it. I realize it is a scent thing, but in some places, it is the food plot or begin to starve!
