Default Food plot time

Well its almost time to plant fall food plots. Planning on planting them the last weekend of this month. Normally I wait till the second weekend in sept, but this year we have had alot more rain and cooler weather than usual. I have 3 fall plots that I plant for hunting about an acre for each one. Buck forage oats, winter rye, rape and turnips will be the table fare this year. Good luck to all with their plots this year.

From our local co-op, Buck Forage oats are $20 a bag.

Gregrn, I'm curious, do the Buck Forage Oats survive the winter and start growing again in the spring at your location?
