Default Chufa's

We planted 5 plots of chufas this afternoon. I think it is a little too late in the year, but another guy had the seed and wanted them in the ground so we busted up a few plots and broadcast the seed and disc them in. They should make a few before the Nov frost start hitting.

It's a grass with tuberous(sp? its been a while) roots. Primary use is usually for turkeys, but hogs love it too. Deer will eat it if there isn't much else for them to eat.
