Default First year Chicory

I have a chicory/small burnett plot that was planted this summer. I have never planted chicory before and am wondering about mowing it. It is kind of spotty, which I expected for a first year plot, but what is growing is growing pretty well. So should I mow it if it gets up about 8" or so and if so how low should I knock it down.

Thanks
Dan

I would keep it atleast 6" high. Bigger may be better with just chicory, mine has always been mixed with clover.
