Default ideas over the winter

iam looking for some ideas to help my deer over the winter. last yr we had a hard winter and lost alot of deer. Iam going to put out a feeder.

If they winter on your property, or property you have access to and permmision to mess with you can also check out this link (with an embedded link to preferance list of prefered winter foods) for some ideas:

By all means put out a feeder for them. Before you do, go to the feed store and buy 2000 lbs of all-stock so you'll be able to keep the feeder full. All stock is better than corn as it has more protein and is more nutritionally complete.

Try planting a tall forage brassica, turnips, a tall RR field corn, and winter rye.
