planting trees

Default planting trees

i bought a couple apple trees and a peach tree a couple months ago when lowes was having there sale, i was going to go up to my property on the sept 14th would it be ok to plant them then? i also noticed that the apple trees lost a noticable amount of leaves is this normal?

It's ok to plant them now. Just water generously. The leaf dropping could be drought related. My pear tree loses some leaves at this time of year. Make sure you put up wire cages around the trunks to keep the mice and rabbits away this winter.
