my new food plot with Sorghum
My food plot, I guess what will be a rifle season plot. I am going to bush hog several strips and plant clover and winter wheat and peas in late August.
All thoughts appreciated. The plot backs up to a stream and about 200 acres of planted pines.
Plot turned out to be about 60% Sorghum, 30% lab lab and soy beans, and 10% corn. Sorgum was planted to heavy and really took over as you can see.

RE: my new food plot with Sorghum
I would love to here some ideas on what I should plant in strips inside this field to increase the use during sept oct. I was thinking wheat and peas and clover.
Any thoughts on what the turkeys might like too??????

Plot looks great! The corn and sorghum will attract turkey and deer. As well as gamebirds. I would say some good things to plant in that strip would be...clover, turnip, brassica, and maybe wheat. You should just get yourself a bag of Biologic Green Patch. Or maybe some Biologic Full draw. Some other good food plot companys are Harvest Premium and Tecomate.
Good Luck and keep up the great work!
