Default 1st food plot

Ok I live in Central Oklahoma which is normally fairly dry but this year we have had a ton of rain, and I am wondering what type of food plot would be the best to plant and when should I plant this? This is going to be about an acre an a half to 2 acres,I don't need Wheat or Alfalfa because I have a plenty of both where I am hunting, I am trying to pullthe deerback into the trees with this food plot and get them away from the road hunters... Anyadvice would be appreciated.. Let me know if you need to know anymore information

Are you talking about a fall/winter attractant plot?

Last year i had good luck with Spike Plot Oats and Purple Top Turnips. Despite a bad winter at our place in Garvin county, the oats did not freeze out. Deer ate them all winter long and the quail live in the mature oat field now. Worked for me.

The Lawton CO-OP ordered them for me.

Try brassicas. They are hard to beat for a late season attractant, but with a high deer population planting two acres may not last very long. Last year I planted about an acre of Shot Plot, and by the first of December it was nearly gone! BTW, there are probably about twenty or so deer per square mile here.
