We've had that feeder for about a year now. Had mine up from Jan til about July. (PA does not allow them up during hunting season) Right away we found that the best thing is to only run two motors at a time. When running three motors, the batteries just don't have the umph. We use energizer batteries as is directed. That has solved all of our problems. We never have had a problem with moisture. We mix one third roasted soybeans in with the corn for the protein. Hope this is some help.
