As an attractant it might work to lure a deer within gun or bow range but as something that is going to help your local deer herd, that is debatable.
Trace mineral blocks can provide needed things to a diet but adding protein to the mix doesn't help much. Why? Because each deer needs pounds and pounds of protein rich food every day. Who could afford to put out enough Buck grub to take care of the deers needs?
