Anyone have any experience using a hand held PH meter? Any comments on accuracy, ease of use, brand etc..?

Dont waste your time grap some soil samples mix em up and send a cup of dirt to a lab there are many I use the one through the mossy oak bio logic site it's easy pain free and you get the results pretty fast through the email. I started out with a ph meter and could not get any consistent test results with it using a lab is the way to go. If you tell them what you are growing they will also recommened how much lime and what type of fert. to use.

As mentioned, don't waste your money on the hand-helds like the Bio-Logic model! Trust ONLY you local county Ag extension office or whatever farm service you have in your region. They will give you EXACT specifics of what your soil needs and they always cost next to nothing.
