leases
I know this is not quite the right place for this question,But!
Have been searching for hours trying to find a basic pre-printed hunting lease.
My spot blew up last week with four wheelers trespassing and I cannot do anything about it.
I have a chance to lease a parcel that I can develop for the future. But back to the question, anyone know where I can find a basic lease agreement to download or copy?
Please e-mail me at peggy @ibo.net
My system is down for a few days and have to use the wife's computer.
Thanks in advance.

RE: leases
have you tried a office supply store? or you may call a timber company that leases and ask for a blank copy of one to rewrite for your purposes. be nice and talkative and you may get one.

RE: leases
You should be able to draw up an agreeable lease yourself. Be sure to include the following and any other agreements you agree on: Date of lease and time frame covered, Lessor and Lessee's names, complete legal description, # of acres, price per acre, hunters insurance requirements, game covered in agreement, any other recreational purposes covered (fishing, camping etc), is there a limit on # of hunters, names of covered hunters, 3-wheelers allowed, any restrictions about blinds or stands, camp fires allowed, gate lock restrictions, any days not allowed during the week for hunting and anything else you can think of. Now is the time to hash out any kind of problems.

RE: leases
Ken, timbercruiser is giving you some good advice. Decide what you want and set it up so that you get what you want. Then take it to the landowner and negotiate from there. Don't make him think you are trying to run over him, so make it mutually beneficial. The insurance adn the fact that you want to keep others off should interest him IF he is not hunting the place.

If they are trespassing why cant you do anything? Make sure its posted and then get pictures of them and any picture of their trucks with a plate #. and turn them in.
