we tried it last year as well and we had good results. we planted it in august and in september we added shot plot and that stuff kept the deer there after the hot spot was done. the shot plot works the same way as far as planting. just get the ground cover out and get it down to dirt and throw the seed on top and let it go. plant right before rain. the rain will push the seed in the ground and just wait. the shot plot comes up fast and furious with big greens. we planted some already and its already up and doing great

Did you lime it or fertilize it before you planted? If not, did it still come up good?
