Hey there! I just wanted to let you know I live in kenosha wisconsin on the illinois wisconsin border and have property up near the wisconsin dells. My neighbor up at my property has been using the succotash blend of deer seed made by Deer Creek Seed Co. It has Robust Barley, Winter rye, Bayou forage brassica, DCS Wildlife Rape Seed and purple top turnips. We have really acidic soils up here and after a good liming in spring this stuff is ready to plany in august. This blend stays green even under the snow. As for the turnips the deer will eat the tops off in the spring and I have actually seen them paw at the frozen ground to tear up the rest of the turnip after the season ends. It has worked very well for our neighbore and I play to use this blend for my plots this upcoming season. Good luck with whatever you decide on trying and keep us posted
