i have a remington 12 guage and was wandering how far can you shoot a slug by been accurate and hitting a deer. or is there any sertain slugs to get. please tell me

Several variables would have to be known. Type of barrel you have, type of slug, sight system you have and your proficiency in shooting a gun. Best bet you have is to buy a few boxes of slugs and hit the range and check out how your gun shoots the different brands. You should be able to kill a deer at 100 or more yards, if you do your job.
