if atvs are used all the time to travel to and from stands the deer will get somewhat accostomed to them (they generally still won't stand idley by as you pass though). with that said my father sometimes likes to drive is to his spot (in So. zone) and I hate it. there is no need (flat land, short distance). When he does, I go the other way and wait for the deer to come to me. Now on the other hand, in the adirondacks, we all use ATVs to get to the place we want to hunt (hike) from (on a trail). it is a big time (and body) saver.
