I wish it was Michigan! I would have to say if you don't have private property you have little chance to get a buck at all. There are some very nice deer here in MI though!!

Not Pennsylvania

Too many hunters (over 1 Million) in a patchwork of urban sprawl. People are getting greedier and greedier, leasing and posting everything in sight.

If, however, you have your own ground or a good hunting spot void of outside pressure, we grow some awesome deer, and tagging out can be a breeze.

It's still not very hard to fill your tags here, but you're limited to only a few deer and one antlered. We do have awesome spring turkey hunting, but it's not Missouri, that's for sure. You also get three days of bear hunting glory if you're in the know for a good spot, but those days are non-weekend, so it involves time off work, which sucks.

No sunday hunting, no weekend bear hunting, no spring bear, overcrowded, only one spring gobbler and everything is POSTED. That's the quick and dirty on Pennsylvania.

There are an awful lot of big in size Mule deer in western South Dakota. A few trophy bucks both Whitetail and Mule deer. Thses are grain fed deer that grow big in size. Horns however is not the strong suit. Lots of nice racks but few outstanding ones.

Mississippi --- we're a sleeper state. There's a ton of deer down here and some big ones as well. Check out the Magnolia Records Program at www.mdwfp.com - it'll show you what i'm talking about.[8D]

I live in Ohio and we have some great deer, but I think that the top 4 would have to be: Kansas, Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin.
