According to Dr. Ken Norberg Deer can smell your urine very well, But the deer are unable to recognize that it is from a human. I still would not chance it.

I agree with the folks who said the deer can't tell. I try not to drink coffee before hunting ,but when you gotta go I go from the tree AND TRY TO MISS YOUR STAND. the chemicals in urine can quickly corrode your 200.00 stand if you forget to wipe it off. We have alot of water in Florida and when most urinate from the stand it goes into swamp water. The hard core hunters literally put their stands up in about one foot of brackish water.

Icedragon......humanness?.... Oh well.
I have peed next to and under my tower blind, climbed up in it and killed deer.
I have witnessed a mature buck actually sniff human poop (#2 in case we cant say poop)
WAY too much is made of scent in the hunting industry. You certainly dont want to be smelling like a French house of ill repute, but if you have to pee.........then pee.

Icedragon......humanness?
For obvious lack of a better word, now if thats all you can do is correct my grammar then you need to get the hell outta here!

Ice Dragon,
I was not the one who corrected your grammar. You e-mailed the wrong hunter. I don't really care what kind of grammar you use.

I didnt say you were, take a look at who I replyed to and to who I quoted.

RE: urinating in stand

Ice......it's .....Whom I quoted. And you could say human scent instead of humanness.
In any event, I can assure you sir that I can do a lot more than correct your grammar so I'll not be getting the hell out of here anytime soon.
The gentleman asked a question about peeing in a deer stand and I lent my considerable knowledge and experience to the conversation.
Thank you, that is all.
