I just let it go and kick some dirt on it. I seem to have to go about 3 times before lunch. It does not seem to mess me up, I have gotten near a lot of big deer lately.

i had asked the same question to our bioligist and he said that human urine doesnt bother the deer. they cant tell what it came from. they may know that it isnt farmilar but they dont asociate it with humans. also he said that as soon as urine hits the air bacteria starts to form and breaks it down quick. outside it usually has a 5 minute lifespan as far as potency. same with deer urine. it doesnt stay fresh. and im sure you have all used urine at one time or another and when yuo opened it it was brown. the color is because of the oxygen breaking it down and bacteria causes it to go stale almost immediatly

I use a bottle to pee in. I have heard of DEER coming in after a hunter has urinated on the ground, but have never heard of 140+ coming in to it!
I don't take any chances. I am out there to kill a trophy and after all the time I take to be as scent free as possible, I am not going to let ANY deer know that something is around by urinating on the ground! Just my opinion though.

go right where you hunt. doesn't bother the deer one bit. to them pee is pee. urine is fairly "clean" anyway. I hunt a lot on the ground and when I have to go I go. I usually trya and scrape some leaves back and cover it up just to be safe. Had a spot this year where i went several times and the deer kept coming by (some at <5 yards).

It's funny how our self-imposed rules about peeing go out the window when the urge gets overwhelming. My advice is try not to but if push comes to shove, let it go!.
