best .44 rem mag load for deer

hey guys. i was wondering what is the best 44 rem mag load for deer. i have a smith and wesson 6 1/2" barrel with a bushnell red dot on top. ive shot 240 grain jsp winchester and remington umc 180 grain jsp. any recommendations or input is appreaciated. thanks

I would recomend either the Renington 275 gr Core lokt at 1235 fps
or the Hornady Custom 240 gr XTP HP at 1350 fps
Both loads have proformed well for freind that don't reload

I like the Hornady XTP's the best. I shoot the 300 grain the most but I am sure the 240 XTP would be good as well. For smaller game I shoot a lot of 200 Grain XTP bullets or a good 240 grain cast bullet. I often load them in 44 Special cases for small game hunting.

Without a doubt, Corbon's 240 gr JHP. From your 6 1/2" barrell, you'll get about 1600 fps and over 1350 ft lbs of energy.
