If that was his point by doing that...he sure did a good job. I can't tell you how much I dislike and dispise bleeding heart liberals like quiksilver. 6 dead...2 wounded and countless numbers of family, friends and fellow hunters lives will be affected for many years to come because of this guy. I can't even tell you on this forum what I believe should be done to him.

Here's my math equation for this situation:

Contraversial Case + Defense Lawyer Eager for Recognition = B.S defense or say whatever it takes to win regardless of truth or innocence.

Granted, I haven't seen all of the evidence, but if a person can take the current reports at face value, then I hope the judge presiding this case will cut through the red tape (racial, self defence???) and get down to the heart of the matter. Just my opinion.

This is obviously a case which typifies racial strain in that particular area. While I'm unfamiliar with the specifics, I understand that Chi Vang is of certain asian decent common to that region. There is quite a bit of racism in the area with respect to those individuals.

I'm just a little concerned that you guys are quick to impute guilt to an individual, citing only newspaper reports and a police report as authority to hang the guy. I've read oceans of ink on this topic, and I still feel that I don't have a clear grasp on the facts, given the conflicting tales.

For trial, both sides will produce ballistic data and a chronology of the events. A (hopefully) impartial jury will decide accordingly (so long as Chi Vang doesn't plea-bargain).

I just think you guys' positions wouldn't be so one-sided if it was an American guy shooting a half-dozen asians.

Well in my case the race of the individual has nothing to do with my opinion. I don't think you can say the same.A mudering scumbag is a scumbag no matter where he comes from.You sound like the opposite becasue there was a minority involved it must be the white guys fault. BTW, I happen to be a minority.

I'm a little concerned that you immediately blame the innocents and ignore the police reports and eye witness reports.

there is too much concentration in this country on giving everyone a fair trial and constitutional rights and everything else used to get a criminal off the hook. While i do believe in rights and a fair trial, i don't believe a lawyer should try to get him freed because it is his job. That is why there is so much crime here. It is too easy to get away with it. Ask a guy from one of those third world countries if he will steal again. He can't because they cut off his hand. My opinion on this matter is saw his head off and hang him in the woods where he killed those people. Set an example. And i also think if those homung (or whatever) people can't understand "PRIVATE PROPERTY" they need to pack their bags and go back to their country. Ignorance is not an excuse and neither is race. This will turn into a racial matter, not because the hunters said racial remarks to him causing him to kill them, but because lawyers like quicksilver will pull that bullsh_t in court. I think the hunters had every right to cuss at him and call him whatever they wanted to. He was tresspassing on land they were trying to hunt on. If someone was breaking into your car and you caught him, would you say "excuse me i think you are breaking into my car"? No you would say "WHAT THE &#^* DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING YOU PIECE OF *%@% MOTHER%*#%$!!!!!!GET THE $%^&OUT OF MY $&#!@^& CAR

He'll get his chance to prove his case in court. No matter how bad any of us may hate him, the one thing this guys does deserve is a fair trail and a right to be heard with a lawyer. It sounds like that is what he is getting.

But as anybody can see, it's going to be really tough to claim self defense when shooting 8 people and killing 6, in the order and way he did, when their was only one gun. I'm not sure if it's even humanely possible. The trial will show the compelling evidence against him and the American Court System will give him what he deserves. The jury will speak his fate. Such a terrible crime that should involve the harshest verdict, if and when found quilty.

Out of about fifty posts, that is the first rational opinion I've seen thus far. Thank you KSHunter.

It is kinda funny watching the conservatives get all hot and bothered over hearing the truth. My intent, however, wasn't to be a muckrake, I was just offering my $.02

I believe that Self-Defense will not be a valid defense to Chi Vang, given the severity of his actions. Secondly, I do think that there is a high likelihood that he will be found guilty or offered a plea-bargain in light of the aggravating/mitigating circumstances and the conflicting accounts of the events as they unfolded. I'm not defending his actions, just offering a rational overview of his case, as it will be viewed by the courts.

In closing, If you have a problem with the American legal system, and favor lopping peoples' hands off and vigilante justice, I would suggest putting your money where your mouth is, and moving to Singapore or some other land where they play by those rules.

I would say 95% of lawyers are all about the mighty dollar. They don't give 2 shi$s wether justice is done. They just wanna get paid. That is the problem with the legal system. It is a fact that Chi Vang killed 6 people. If he was executed right now, someone would think twice before tresspassing. Like I said before set an example
