Is that a winchester 30-30?
its a marlin 30-30

I was thinking the same thing. You guys should know by know that deer have evolved to the point where they can only be killed by magnums and short magnums. Heck even back when guns like a 30-06 would kill them a 30-30 was already too little gun. Big bucks like that can't be killed with a lever gun

its amazing how many deer that have been shot by this gun that didn't realize it was just a 30-30, phillip, daltons dad, hunted with it when we were 12-13 and were both in or 40's now so its been around for a while, and i still have my 30-30 also, it would be interesting to know how many hunters first deer was killed with a 30-30 0r 35 rem lever gun

My first deer was shot with a 35 Rem lever action. It was my first and only buck, a small 3x1. Really liked the gun but my dad bought me a .308 so I use that now.

Awsome deer btw!
