what deer calls do you recommend and during the rut what type of call? buck grunt, doe bleat etc.

hunter specialties true talker will handle it for ya i am positive and the can by primos. i have had good luck wtih the both of them.

the true talker by h.s. is all i ever use with some light rattling.you can mimick the sound of the can with the true talker

i use the primos grunt call but it will freeze easy in cold weather. I use the true talker when the primos freezes up. The true talker doesnt seem to freeze as easy plus it is rubber coated so if you knock it against your gun it doesnt make much noise. I use the primos when it isnt froze because i like the sound it produces better. But if i was gonna get just one grunt call it would be the True Talker.
