I know how you feel but my 6ptr was hit by a car a week before opening day.

Two years ago, I had a 10 point shot by a road hunter that spotlighted him in our bottom. The stepson went down and the guy took off. We found the deer the next morning, the coyotes had made a meal out of him. But I did salvage the rack. But it was not the way I wanted to get it.
