Default is this a good idea for field plot

I thought of planting corn or soybeans next to one of my stands in the middle of the woods. I live in a area where beans and corn are grown all over would this be a good idea. My thought would be it would just leave it there and the deer could feed on it. This area wouldnt be very big maybe 15 x 10.

If you are talking about ten by fifteen feet square, I would say it would be a waste of time. Four or five deer would clean out an area that size in a couple of nights.

15X10 is better then 0x0 food plot. Can you hunt with a feeder in your state? If so I would plant the small plot then spray it with corn or soy everyday out of a feeder. They eat alittle on the plot and alittle off the feeder.
