Hello, this is my first time posting. I wanted to know how the warm weather influences deer movement in your area. I have hunted the same area in WV for two years and have always seen plenty of deer. This year I haven't seen any movement. It is puzzling me and was hoping that I could get some info to help me figure out this problem. Thanks

I've done a lot of early-season warm weather deer hunting hunting here in NC. The following has worked for me...
Mornings: Hunt intersections along deer travel routes near feeding areas.
10:00 to 4:00: Hunt quiet, shady bottoms near bedding areas.
4:00 to dark: Hunt near water.
Good Luck

I agree.
The deer here shade up until later on in the evening. They don't start moving until it is almost dark. If the moon is full, they won't move until after dark. A water hole is never a bad spot to try, especially on those warmer days.

Well today was in the 80's here and I hunted this morning untill the mosquitoes got full and then again this evening until dark. Didnt see a deer one. Was hunting a shady creek bottom. The creek is full right now thanks to all the rain. Thought I might get lucky but nothing. The moon has them feeding at night. I hope it cools off alot. I hate hunting when it is hot.....but I figure it is better than doing housework.
