last night, we went spotlighting(legal), saw a doe and 3 fawns about 90 yards out in a field, so we shut the car off and i called on my deer call, I called her in to about 15 to 20 feet of the car with the spotlight on her the whole time, cool huh.

So can someone name a good deercall for me? I have no idea what to look for, so any input is helpful.
Eric, That sounds like it was a pretty cool experience. That gives a whole new meaning to deer caught in a spotlight.

Depends on what calls you want to do or use. Personally my calling is mostly grunts and if I want a bawl, bleat or snort I just replicate with my mouth, so I choose a good toned grunt vs the all in ones.
So for the all in ones (Doe, Fawn, Bucks) the True Talker is a very good suggestion.
However if you just want a grunt I really like the EZ Grunter by knight n hale. The reason I like it is small, does not freeze, exhale/inhale blow methods and great tone.

(BTW, are you Skeeter from the CFD? Just curious.)

mistah, I haven't had it freeze but I also do use it inhaling a lot as well, so maybe that helps eliminate the spit up effect. I agree tone with the ext'd tube vs without is better.
Try keeping it in your coat if you just blow or exhale, that worked with other grunts I had previous!
Nope not the same gent.

I personally like the bow grunter from away hunting. It's hands free, you inhale instead of exhaleing so it dosn't freeze up when it's cold.

I don't leave home without it .
