Default Rifled Slugs

Hey all
I was just wondering if it is ok to shoot rifled slugs out of a smoothbore barrel. The only reason I ask is because Fleet Farm is having a sale on Federal Rifled slugs and i only have a smooth bore barrel for my 20 gauge. Any input is appreciated Thanks

Yeah it is perfectly fine to shoot rifled slugs out of a smoothbore. That's what they're made for aren't they? I shoot brenneke slugs from my beretta semi-auto and they perform awsome.

Just take some time to sight in your gun with that particular type of slug sometimes different brands and types of slugs shoot different out of each barrel.

smoothbores love rifle slugs
smoothbores hate sabot slugs

I have 2 smoothbore slug guns, Ithaca model 37 deerslayers, 1 loves the brennekees, the other loves either winchesters, or federal rifle slugs.

But I hunt with my Remington 11-87 rifled barrle which loves the Lightfields !!!!!
