Best part of hunting...
What is the best part of hunting in your perspective? Mine is just being out in the woods, it doesnt matter if i harvest anything that day or not, everytime im out there it leaves tons of memories that i have for the rest of my life and thats what its all about.

Quite Honestly?
Sitting in the dark watching the sun rise, a small fog over the field, the air smells clean and fresh.
Of course, mix in a few deer in that field and its an even better day

I just like getting out there. It's real refreshing to me to get out in the country, no worries or anything. It's the one time I don't mind going out in the rain. It's fun to, just being in the woods away from it all. Oh yeah, harvesting an animal is always a plus!

I always hunt alone, so my fellowship is hearing my wife when I get home

Getting away from civilization and being alone with nature and God. I also hunt solo most of the time. This gives me time to relax and be thankful for the things that we often take for granted every day.

All of that being there is great, but how about the thrill of the hunt. Not necessiarly taking a deer that day. It's all the scouting, the stand setting, the practice shooting. Now is the moment of truth. Did you do everything right to outsmart that buck. Or is he going to be smarter than you again this year. For me it's a fun game and I'm holding the ball. We will have to see who the winner will be this year. If it's not me than you can bet I will get better next year.
