i wanted to know what gun everyone is going to use for deer hunting this year? and what kind of bullets and scope you are using as well

i will be using my trusty 243 with a leupold var x 2 3-9x40 and shooting 100 nosler partitions.

i really wanted to use my 270 however being on the golf team and all this homework it just dosen't look like i will have time to get used to the rifle

I've been hunting for 17 years and have always used a 12 ga or my .30-06. This year, I'm taking my Coyote set-up for deer hunting. I've never taken a deer with it before, but I'm confident in it. Its a tac driver

Remington Model 700 ADL - .243 Win
Remington Core-lokt 100 grains
Simmons 4.5x - 12x 40mm

My sons hunting with a .243 this year so I figured - I'll do the same!

Will be using my .243 of course, dont need no other stinkin caliber, it does it all for me here in Texas, and does it very well I might add.
Hey skyhigh throw them corelocks in the trash, try 100 gr Hornady's not the light magnums just the regular 100 gr hornady's. Talk about driving tacks and dropp'n deer or hogs. I would highly reccomend them for the .243. If your just going after deer and are not shooting over .200 yds try the Federal 85 gr. Hollow points. They blow huge holes in deer
I just dont like them on hogs. Or over 200yds cause of wind drift. I have tested lots of different ammo in my .243 and these two are the best at the range and on animals.
PS remember to let me know if you try them and their results.
