i am only 13 now and i want to know is it better to get a .270 rifle or a .243 because i am new to steal hunting i have dog drived all my life and i am finaly going to start steal hunting so can u tell me which one has more power to it so i can mabe kill a deer longer distance

tThe .243 will still be good for any whitetail out to about 300 yards. Your other choice, the .270 is a darn good deer caliber too, so it will mainly be a personal choice!

.243 has less power and recoil, but a deer isn't gonna know that
Power won't make up for poor shot placement. If your sensitive to recoil or haven't shot a lot of rifles, a .243 may be better.

get the 243 sweet little round weither you are just starting out or have been shooting all your life. you don't need a matcho gun to embress anyone you just need something you like.
i have 2 270's and love them both and they are great rounds don't get me wrong. however the 243 is better. more then 1 deer has fallen to the 243.
